Back in Business!

Hey girls!!

Well I have been out of the loop for over a week now because I have been ill like no ill I have had before! I got the flu have have spent the past week and a half getting back to my old self.

Anyway, today I thought I would post on apartments, house looking and house decorating. Besides wedding planning, one of the best things about getting engaged and agreeing to make one life with two people is searching for your future residents!! If you have an iphone I totally recommend realtor.com and zillow. Two great apps for searching. The best part is they are COMPLETELY free! You do not have to pay anything, or give your name and email just free looking at houses! On top of that if you are moving to the North Dallas area, Addison specifically, they have some sweet new apartment complex that are perfect for newly weddings! Check out www.allegroaddison.com and savoy addison.com!! Its totally worth your time!! In the meantime, here are some bright apartment pictures, from apartmenttherapy.com. I love the bright- indian flair!!

Sewing in the city

This is for all you creatives out there who have thought to yourself, "Couldn't I just make that myself?"

Well if you have ever thought that, you MUST with a capital MUH visit the new IT Dallas sewing club. You will have a ball looking at all there bright prints and designer fabrics and then the best part, their total girls club classes! Some of my friends and I have been trying to get in one of their classes for months! But they fill up like a Taylor Swift concert!!

Check them out! They also offer more casual sewing nights to come and create on a more low key level and offer classes for everything from beginners sewing, to cute little aprons!!

Here is bright preview of a way to start your spring decorating inspiration

:

I love these pattern prints! Wouldn't they be great table runners at a backyard wedding? Or even accents at a garden wedding. I am working on some style boards that will incorporate patterns into a wedding scheme!!

Be looking for those post to come!

I am writing sick in bed so I am off to sleep!

Some Stella Statements

Stella & Dot....gotta say I was skeptical of ANOTHER jewelry company selling and people having parties- it just seems like we have SO many but this one has unique style with pieces all their own. Go www.stelladot.com....it will blow your mind.

They have unique pieces that make a statement and can totally embody your wedding theme. I love these necklaces and I think some of things would go great with a simple wedding dress!

This last one is my favorite! Wouldn't it be gorgeous at a wedding on the beach!

They have lots of different items- some pretty flowers for the hair that can be pinned on clothes or on jewelry, some whimsical bracelets and necklaces with charms!

Explore! Its a great sight! If you are interest in ordering- let me know! My sister-in-law is having a party!

Mom's 50th

I LOVE that Spring is here so we are now decorating with Spring colors. I have never been a fan of using multiple pastel colors so when I decorate for spring I like to pick monochromatic schemes and go crazy with them. With my mom's 50th we used mainly purple everything because that is her favorite color but did purple in ALL hues. Green was my accent color and we used green on the paisley napkins, as a big flower on the cake, in the grapes for decor and in the glasses that the lavender daisies sat in.

We filled the room with flowers because I believe that a few flowers spread throughout the house can be more decor that you could ever imagine. And it worked. My mom felt like spring was everywhere. Check out our center spread where the cake sat!

Cant wait for the next party! Maybe a bridal shower in the near future!
